Slaughterhouse Violates Child Labor Laws!

The biggest meat packing industry of Kosher meats , Agriprocessors Inc. is being indicted by the Iowa attorney general's office. This meat packing industry has allegedley been using minors under the ages of 16 and 18 to work in a factory. The violations involve 32 illegal immigrant children under the ages of eighteen and seven who were younger then sixteen working in a dangerous environment. The minors who worked in the factory were facing very dangerous equipment such as, circular saws, meat grinders and power shears. The minors were also exposed to chemicals like chlorine solutions and dry ice.
This isn't the first time the company has had legal problems. In May, the meat packing facility had hosted jobs for 400 illegal immigrants. The illegal immigrants, however were arrested, making this the biggest single-site of illegal immigration raids in U.S. history. Five defendants are now facing 9, 311 individual counts each, for every day that was violated.

What? I can't believe that there are still places in the United States that still use underage kids for labor. Those companies should know that they will get caught if the government finds out about that. But now that they caught those guys they are going to be facing some serious fines for everyday they used child labor. Lets just hope that this teaches other organizations and companies to not use child labor.

Wow. I did not know that child labor was still going on in the united states. Those company's should be check by the Government. But in a strange way i understand why they used children and plus they were illegal immigrants they though it was easier for them not to get caught. I just think those people have no knowledge of what they do.
