A mournful and terrible day in our nation's history, with countless lives lost, and people scarred emotionally. This shall be a special day in honoring the many victims of 9/11. This year marks our seventh anniversary of the 9/11 attack that occured in New York City, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. In attendence to visit Ground Zero on 9/11 shall be none other then Senator Barack Obama and John McCain. Even though the two candidates will set aside their differences in politcs on 9/11 for this special day in history this made me realize that this is the only time you see a Democrat and Republican working side by side. Besides that both candidates will be honoring the lost souls of 9/11, the families and friends, firefighters, police, emergency responders and anyone who was selfless or heroic in helping the people who desperately were in need of rescue.
